To promote public broadcasting worldwide through civil society is
a huge task, conditioning social development and democracy.
Public service radio, television and internet are the products
of a citizens' ideal. Their only chance to be recognized and provided
with sufficient funding is through citizens' active support.
Our goal is the early delivery, hopefully by the end of 2003,
of internationally recognized standards of public broadcasting.
They will provide civil society, political authorities, and broadcasters
with a tool to measure objectively the contribution of broadcasting
services to the social development of their country. In addition,
we shall offer professionals a certification process to improve
their performance in this respect.
